The Central Workshop provides training and hands-on practice to the students. Maintenance & fabrication needs of the Institute. Through the course "Workshop Practice", all the first-year degree students are trained to acquire the necessary skills related to various manufacturing processes like fitting, welding and machining etc. Two advance manufacturing system like CNC milling and Wire EDM & one advance welding Machine is there to improvise student skill. Further, students of B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) are given in-depth training in various courses such as "Basic Manufacturing Processes”, “Machining science and Technology”, "CAD/CAM" and Introduction to Physical Metallurgy for Mechanical Engineering. Apart from routine maintenance and training, the workshop also provides fabrication services pertaining to the project works of students and also offers technical support. The workshop comprises various labs and sections namely Material Testing Lab, Heat transfer Lab, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Lab, Hydraulics Lab CAD/CAM Lab Machine Shop, Fitting Shop, Fabrication Shop, Machine shop, Drawing Hall.
